Article 1

Die Stadt Liverpool wird gemäß Artikel 2 Absatz 1 des Beschlusses Nr. 1419/1999/EG zur Kulturhauptstadt Europas für 2008 erklärt.

Article 2

Die Stadt Stavanger wird gemäß Artikel 4 des Beschlusses Nr. 1419/1999/EG zur Kulturhauptstadt Europas für 2008 erklärt.

Article 3

Beide Städte ergreifen alle erforderlichen Maßnahmen, um die wirksame Durchführung der Artikel 1 und 5 des Beschlusses Nr. 1419/1999/EG zu gewährleisten.
