Article 1

The Implementing Arrangement between the European Commission and the Government of the United States of America for cooperative activities in the field of homeland/civil security research is approved. The text of the Implementing Arrangement is attached to this Decision.

Article 2

The Commissioner responsible for DG Enterprise and Industry is authorised to sign the Implementing Arrangement on behalf of the Commission.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on the first day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union .
