Council conclusions of 13 June 1985 concerning the implementation of Directive 77/486/EEC on the education of the children of migrant workers Official Journal C 165 , 04/07/1985 P. 0001 - 0001 Spanish special edition: Chapter 05 Volume 5 P. 0003 Portuguese special edition Chapter 05 Volume 5 P. 0003 COUNCIL CONCLUSIONS of 13 June 1985 concerning the implementation of Directive 77/486/EEC on the education of the children of migrant workers (85/C 165/01) THE COUNCIL, taking note of the report on the application of Directive 77/486/EEC, submitted to it by the Commission on 10 February 1984 in accordance with Article 5 of that Directive; also taking note of the comments by the Commission and the delegations; notes that, in order to ensure satisfactory implementation of the Directive, and in particular Article 3 thereof, bilateral discussions are taking place between host Member States and Member States of origin to improve their collaboration; hopes that these discussions will increase mutual understanding and, where necessary, will result at an early date in appropriate agreements on arrangements for teaching the language and culture of origin; notes the Commission's intention to send the Member States a further questionnaire on the implementation of the Directive in order to update the information at its disposal; asks the Commission to forward to it in two years' time a further report on the situation and the progress made.
