Article 1

Directive 2004/17/EC shall not apply to contracts awarded by contracting entities and intended to enable the following activities to be carried out: (a) production and wholesale supply of electricity in the Macro-zone North; (b) retail supply of electricity to end customers connected to the medium, high and very high voltage grid in the entire territory of the Italian Republic.

Article 2

This Decision is addressed to the Italian Republic.
