Council Decision (EU) 2022/1168 of 4 July 2022 authorising the opening of negotiations on a status agreement between the European Union and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania on operational activities carried out by the European Border and Coast Guard Agency in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania

The Commission is hereby authorised to negotiate, on behalf of the Union, a status agreement between the European Union and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania on operational activities carried out by the European Border and Coast Guard Agency in the territory of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

The negotiations shall be conducted on the basis of the negotiating directives of the Council set out in the addendum to this Decision, and in consultation with the appropriate Working Party of the Council.

This Decision is addressed to the Commission.
