Article 1

The State aid measure which the Federal Republic of Germany is planning to implement for RWE, amounting to EUR 2,6 billion, is compatible with the internal market within the meaning of Article 107(3), point (c) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union. The implementation of the State aid, amounting to EUR 2,6 billion, is accordingly authorised.

Article 2

This Decision is addressed to the Federal Republic of Germany.
