2013/775/EU: Commission Implementing Decision of 17 December 2013 on a financial contribution from the Union towards emergency measures to combat avian influenza in Germany, Italy and the Netherlands in 2012 and 2013 and in Denmark and Spain in 2013 (notified under document C(2013) 9084)

1 A financial contribution from the Union shall be granted to Denmark, Germany, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands towards the costs incurred by these Member States in taking measures pursuant to Article 4(2) and (3) of Decision 2009/470/EC, to combat avian influenza in Germany, Italy and the Netherlands in 2012 and 2013 and in Denmark and Spain in 2013.

2 The amount of the financial contribution mentioned in paragraph 1 shall be fixed in a subsequent decision to be adopted in accordance with the procedure established in Article 40(2) of Decision 2009/470/EC.

A first tranche of EUR 500000,00 shall be paid to Germany as part of the Union financial contribution provided for in Article 1(1). A first tranche of EUR 40000,00 for 2012 and EUR 2600000,00 for 2013 shall be paid to Italy as part of the Union financial contribution provided for in Article 1(1). A first tranche of EUR 210000,00 for 2012 and EUR 250000,00 for 2013 shall be paid to the Netherlands as part of the Union financial contribution provided for in Article 1(1). A first tranche of EUR 33000,00 for 2013 shall be paid to Denmark as part of the Union financial contribution provided for in Article 1(1). A first tranche of EUR 30000,00 for 2013 shall be paid to Spain as part of the Union financial contribution provided for in Article 1(1).

This Decision is addressed to the Kingdom of Denmark, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Kingdom of Spain, the Italian Republic and the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
