Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/39 of 12 January 2022 laying down rules on the format and timetables for the submission of national work plans and annual reports on data collection in the fisheries and aquaculture sectors, and repealing Implementing Decisions (EU) 2016/1701 and (EU) 2018/1283

1 The format of the national work plans for data collection, in accordance with the multiannual Union programme for the collection, management and use of data in the fisheries and aquaculture sectors (‘EU MAP’) established by Commission Delegated Decision (EU) 2021/1167 and Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1168, is set out in the Annex to this Decision.

2 The first national work plans shall cover a period of minimum 3 years and maximum 6 years, starting on 1 January 2022 and ending, at the latest, on 31 December 2027. The application period of any successive national work plans shall end, at the latest, on 31 December 2027.

1 Annual reports on the implementation of data collection work plans in accordance with the EU MAP shall be submitted in accordance with the format set out in the Annex to this Decision.

2 The Member States shall submit, by 31 May of each year, the annual reports concerning the implementation of data collection work plans in the previous calendar year.

1 Implementing Decisions (EU) 2016/1701 and (EU) 2018/1283 are repealed.

2 By 31 May 2022, the Member States shall submit the annual reports based on the format from Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/1283.

This Decision shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
