Council Decision (EU) 2025/702 of 17 March 2025 authorising the European Commission to take part, on behalf of the Union, in the negotiations for an international instrument setting up an International Claims Commission for Ukraine

1 The Commission is hereby authorised to take part, on behalf of the Union, in the negotiations for an international instrument setting up an International Claims Commission for Ukraine.

2 The negotiations shall be conducted on the basis of the negotiating directives of the Council set out in the addendum to this Decision.

The Commission is hereby nominated as the Union negotiator.

The negotiations shall be conducted in consultation with the Council Working Party on Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and the Council of Europe (COSCE). The Commission shall regularly report to COSCE on the steps undertaken pursuant to this Decision and shall consult it on a regular basis.

This Decision is addressed to the Commission.
