Council Regulation (EC) No 703/2009 of 27 July 2009 imposing a definitive anti-dumping duty and collecting definitively the provisional duty imposed on imports of wire rod originating in the People’s Republic of China and terminating the proceeding concerning imports of wire rod originating in the Republic of Moldova and Turkey

1 A definitive anti-dumping duty is hereby imposed on imports of bars and rods, hot-rolled, in irregularly wound coils, of iron, non-alloy steel or alloy steel other than of stainless steel originating in the People’s Republic of China, falling within CN codes 72131000, 72132000, 72139110, 72139120, 72139141, 72139149, 72139170, 72139190, 72139910, 72139990, 72271000, 72272000, 72279010, 72279050 and 72279095.

2 The rate of the definitive anti-dumping duty applicable to the net, free-at-Community-frontier price, before duty, of the products described in paragraph 1 and produced by the companies below shall be as follows: CountryCompanyDutyTARIC additional codesPeople’s Republic of ChinaValin Group7,9 %A930All other companies24,0 %A999

3 Unless otherwise specified, the provisions in force concerning customs duties shall apply.

The anti-dumping proceeding concerning imports of wire rod originating in the Republic of Moldova and Turkey is hereby terminated.

The amounts secured by way of the provisional anti-dumping duty pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 112/2009 on imports of wire rod originating in the People’s Republic of China shall be definitively collected at the rate of the definitive duty imposed pursuant to Article 1. The amounts secured in excess of the definitive rates of the anti-dumping duty shall be released. Amounts secured by way of the provisional anti-dumping duty pursuant to Commission Regulation (EC) No 112/2009 on imports of wire rod originating in the Republic of Moldova shall be released.

This Regulation shall enter into force on the day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
